Booth, of Moorhen Road, is charged with pursuing a course of conduct that amounted to the harassment of his ex partner which caused her alarm and distress.
The charges relate to texts sent between September 9 to 19 last year.
His case was adjourned for trial on June 13 at Hertford Magistrates Court.
Bail conditions were not to contact his ex partner either directly or indirectly including via social media.
He was also asked to not enter any police station unless in an emergency.
