It was a top hat performance from adults with learning difficulties when they held an Easter bonnet sale at March’s community cafe.

The sale was organised by the adults as part of a training programme run by Cambridgeshire County Council.

Jane Shardlow, foundation learning and employability manager at the county council, said: “I’m really proud of what our team achieved with their sale.

“They worked really hard and have developed some news skills, which are important for helping develop confidence in all sorts of social and work situations.

“A big thank you to all those people who came along to the sale and who continue to support the café.”

The community café is based at March Community Centre and is open Wednesdays from 11am-1pm. It holds regular enterprise activities to offer disadvantaged adults living in the March are a chance to learn practical work skills, build confidence and greater independence.
