There will be an It’s A Knockout style competition, a parade to remember the fallen heroes of past conflicts and live music when Chatteris Midsummer Festival returns on June 28-29 at Furrowfields Recreation Ground.
The It’s a Knockout course will test not only the stamina, humour and balance of participants but also their aim and mental ability.
Teams of six to eight competitors are invited to take on the challenge.
The festival ground will feature arena performances, stalls and games for children.
The dog show, which last year attracted dozens of entries, also returns.
The theme for this year’s festival is the armed forces to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of D Day.
Applications are already being accepted to join the walking parade which will launch the festival at 11am at Church Lane car park and make its way through the town centre.
Festival committee and Woman’s Institute member Jane Tibbits, assisted by WI members, has been busy making colourful bunting.

Entry is £1 per person each day and this will also give the visitor entry to the Party in the Park on the Saturday evening when local singers and bands, including the Violet Bones, will take to the stage.
