Mr Barclay was treated to a tour of Gorefield Primary School after giving a question and answer session with pupils representing the editorial team of the school’s paper Fishy News and Tadpole Times.

Questions not only included what his role is as an MP but also more personal topics such as his favourite drink.

Youngsters were also put on the spot when Mr Barclay asked them what they knew about the Houses of Parliament and he then went on to explain how the government works.

Mr Barclay said: “It was a very interesting morning, I enjoyed chatting to the children and answering their questions.”
