A race night raised more than £500 for the national children’s charity Wipe your Tears.
A total of £524 was brought in for what was hailed the most successful race night ever organised by the Upwell British Legion.
“The committee would like to say a big thank you for all that sponsored the race night and all that came a great night was had by all,” said British legion member Alison Schultz.
The Wipe Your Tears children’s charity was started in 2004 in the Northwest of England and is committed to assisting in the financial support and care of seriously and terminally ill children and their loved ones.
Through fund raising and events, the charity aims to brighten the lives of these seriously ill children and offer support to their families during difficult times.
