Past and present pupils and teachers gathered to celebrate a primary school’s 50th birthday on Friday.
To mark the anniversary, West Walton Community School organised a church service and street party lunch before pupils danced the afternoon away as a band played.
St Mary’s Chruch was packed as the whole school and guests took part in a morning service.
Then came a street party, with many feasting on the mouth-watering meal the school cooks had prepared.
After the pupils sang happy birthday to the school they all had a piece of special birthday cake, which was made by Joc Bays.
The celebration culminated in an exhausting afternoon of Ceilidh Dancing (a traditional Gaelic dance).
