The body of a man who was reported missing from his Oxfordshire home 10 weeks ago was recovered last night from a Fenland drain.

Specialist teams carried out an underwater search of the Forty Foot from midday and found a man in his car shortly after 3pm.

He is believed to be Andrew Lever, 41, from Banbury, but no formal identification has taken place.

Mr Lever was last seen by his family on May 17 this year and officers thought he could be in Chatteris or Peterborough.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained but it is not thought to be suspicious.

Andrew Mark Lever, called Andy, was last seen by family on the evening of May 17 and thought to have driven to the Cambridgeshire area in his blue Ford Ka coupé.

At the time police said he may have been headed towards the Chatteris, or Peterborough area of Cambridgeshire.
