The former home of Wisbech Town Football Club is up at auction next month.
The four acre Fenland Park site, which was home to the Fenmen from 1947 to 2008, has a guide price of £2.5million.
Planning permission for the site was granted in December 2011 to build 83 houses on the plot and demolish the stands and buildings.
The ground will be up for sale at Savills London and National Auction on December 8.
Paul Mooney, Savills auctioneer, said: “This former football ground offers an exciting residential development opportunity in an attractive market town.
“With the River Nene running through the centre, a variety of local amenities and a number of good schools, Wisbech is a popular place to live.
“The local council’s 20/20 vision for the area includes reinstating the Wisbech to March train line, improvements to the A47, a new business park, industrial park and up to 500 new homes.
“Taking this all into consideration, the future of Wisbech looks bright and this opportunity at Fenland Park could be a fantastic part of it.”
