Father Christmas dropped from the sky into Block Fen animal centre in Wimblington as part of an RSPCA fun day to give dogs from an RSPCA rescue centre their treats at this year’s Christmas event.
Santa, along with one of his elves, arrived at Block Fen Animal Centre by parachute for their Festive Fundraiser on Sunday.
Kirstyn Gaunt, deputy manager at Block Fenn, said: “We all know Father Christmas travels across the sky, but we don’t normally get to see him come down by parachute.
People and dogs joined together to greet him as he touched down with treats for all.
Santa’s arrival was made with a little help from the North London Parachute centre.
The event will also enjoyed entertainment from carol singers, craft and gift stalls, face painting, games and several raffles and tombolas.
The centre was also open so visitors had a chance to meet some of the rescue animals - many of whom are in need of a new home.
Block Fen Animal centre is on Block Fen Drove, Wimblington, PE15 OFB and is open daily except Wednesday. Please call 0300 123 0726 for more information.
