Pupils enjoyed a free class trip to Skaters roller rink thanks to their artistic classmate.
Lucy Whiskens, 11, a pupil at Walpole Highway Primary School, won a competition to design a poster for the after-school skate session at the village rink.
Teacher Sheila Day said: “The class had a great time and all did really well with their skating. We’re proud that Lucy’s poster won the competition and would like to thank her for winning a really fun trip for her classmates.”
Skaters manager Gary Evison said: “The after-school skate is proving really popular and we’re delighted to have Lucy’s eye-catching poster to promote it.”
After-school skate sessions take place every Tuesday during term time, from 3.45-5.45pm. It is suitable for children up to the age of 11.
