An 11 year old has inspired the name of a new cafe and luxury hot chocolate at a furniture store on the A10 at Ely.
Lydia Cooper is the namesake for Lydia’s cafe which is serving up meals, snack and drinks - including Lydia’s hot chocolate loaded with cream and marshmallows which is on the menu at Delaynies furniture store.
Terry Cooper, operations director, has recently launched the cafe and named it after his daughter.
The cafe launch is part of a total overhaul of the former Furniture Factory Outlet which he took over last year.
He said: “We wanted customers to be able to come in relax, have a browse, enjoy a drink or meal.
“We have just about everything you could want for every room in the house. Not just furniture but also gift ware, hanging items, things for every price range, shabby chic, oak furniture.
“We have also started stocking Charles Eames retro chairs which are really popular at the moment. There really is something for everybody’s taste and everybody’s price range.”
The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30 to 5.30 and on Sunday from 10 to 4pm.
