The wife of a man who was killed in Peterborough has described her husband as ‘caring,’ ‘helpful’ and an ‘amazing father.’
Ali Qasemi, 45, of Birchtree Avenue, Peterborough, was delivering pizzas when he was attacked in Shrewbury Avenue in the early hours of Sunday May 8.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital but sadly died yesterday afternoon (May 10).
In a tribute to her husband, Mrs Qasemi said: “My husband was my everything; my best friend, my soul mate, my life partner and an amazing father. He was such a caring and helpful person and was always there for his family and friends.
“This is a very hard time for me and our two children. We are expecting our third child and my heart aches that he won’t be here to see them all grow up.”
Anyone with information on Mr Qasemi’s death is asked to call DI Lucy Thomson in the major crime unit on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
