A 17-year-old girl has been arrested after squirting a form of irritant chemical into the face of a woman, leaving her with facial injuries.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was walking along Fletton Avenue, Peterborough, and heading towards the city centre between 1pm and 1.30pm on September 19 when she was attacked.
She suffered injuries to her eyes and nose and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.
The teenager was later arrested in connection with the offence and is currently on bail to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on November 10.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the offence. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
