Storm Doris has caused yet more carnage in Fenland - this time destroying a tree believed to be the biggest in Cambridgeshire.
Branches of an ancient sycamore tree in the gardens of the Elgoods Brewery in Wisbech were sent flying this morning (February 23) thanks to the high winds that have ravaged East Anglia.
Staff at the brewery believed the tree to be the tallest in the county - possibly in the country - as it used to stand at a whopping 24 metres, or 78 feet.
It may not hold that title now, however, as several of its huge branches lay scattered across the brewery’s garden, awaiting removal.
