Sam Rippington has swapped Wisbech Town for East Anglian Premier League outfit, Burwell.
Rippington, who captained Wisbech to a second place finish in the Tucker Gardner Division One last season, will make the step up in class after four seasons in Fenland.
The former Nassington and Ramsey pace bowler has been rewarded for his solid form last season with a move to the East Cambs side that finished in eighth in the region’s top division.
Wisbech legend Gary Freear is expected to take up the vacant captaincy once again, while Aussie import Jack Hargreaves, who enjoyed an impressive maiden campaign, will return to Harecroft Road.
More to follow.
