Youngster Ashton Newton has taken a massive step towards realising his footballing dream.
The March-based talent has penned a contract at Peterborough United, committing to Posh’s under 9s academy team, where he could face sides such as Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Ashton has been at the club since the age of six and marked his rise by signing his contract on the pitch at Posh’s final game of the season at the ABAX Stadium.
His mum, Laura, said: “It is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for us all.”
