Doddington Paralympic star Jonnie Peacock has been selected in the Great Britain squad for next month’s World Para-Athletics Championships in London.
The T44 100m Paralympic champion is part of a 49-strong contingent which will take part at the event at the London Stadium from July 14 to 23.
The competition will be Peacock’s first in four years, after injury prevented the 24-year-old from taking part in the 2015 event.
He goes into this year’s competition hoping to recapture the 100m title he won in 2013.
He will be joined by fellow Rio de Janeiro gold medallists Hollie Arnold, Paul Blake, Jo Butterfield, Sophie Hahn, Kadeena Cox and Georgie Hermitage.
Peacock, who was awarded with a golden postbox in his home village to mark his medal-winning exploits in London five years ago, equalled his own Paralympic record in Brazil last summer to win his second gold medal.
