Whilst most of Cambridgeshire got its first taste of snow at the weekend, our reporter Ben Jolley was enjoying more of it than most care to experience.
He was at Le Mouton Noir, 2,200 metres up in the Swiss Alps, attending a major music festival, Polaris.
Ben, whose weekends are often spent at pop festivals across Europe (he does some part time writing for Mix Mag and other magazines) flew out last Thursday and was due back last night.
However the resort experienced its most prolific snow falls in four years so with the flight home delayed, Ben took to the slopes to practice his skiing techniques.
As can be seen his skills are at an early stage of development.
Winner of the “Best Big Event 2016” at the Swiss Nightlife Award, Polaris Festival promised many surprises with a highly demanding and varied programme.
But not all surprises necessarily came on the dance floor.
