Students at Cromwell Community College collected food and toiletries to donate to Chatteris food bank.
In the last two weeks of the Christmas term, families, pupils and staff at Cromwell placed items under the Christmas tree in the centre of school, to share with local people.
Rod Doulton and Clive Alexander from the Chatteris Food Bank collected.
A school spokesman said the donations have become an annual collection as part of helping others over the Christmas season.
The Chatteris Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust Ely Food Bank, working alongside others to reach out to those in crisis in Fenland.
Each week up to 15 parcels are handed out by local volunteers to individuals and families.
The food bank works in partnership with other agencies including local schools, Age Concern, the doctor’s surgery, the job centre, social services and the children’s centre.
Distribution in Chatteris takes place in the Bricstan Hall, behind the church, on Thursdays 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
Donations can be dropped off on weekdays between 8am and 3pm in the Parish Church for any donations, open every day from 8-3 pm.
