CMB Bowls Club held their annual Les Howard Memorial Trophy for the 17th time to raise funds for the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre Wisbech.
CMB Bowls Club held their annual Les Howard Memorial Trophy for the 17th time to raise funds for the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre Wisbech.
With the entry fee, raffle and a generous donation from Newton BC of £50 a total of £374 was raise and will be presented at a later date.
This year’s event was kindly sponsored by Lyn and Cliff Humphreys Bridge Insurance Services Wisbech who provided the trophies.
Twenty four teams played 3 wood pairs in 4 groups with the winner of each group proceeding to the semi finals.
Dale and Lewis Parnell beat Mel Joyce and Andy McEwan in the first semi and in the second semi Stuart Woodcock and Tony Reed beating Jane Clifton and Sandra Chandler in very close games.
The final was won by Stuart Woodcock and Tony Reed against Dale and Lewis Parnell,
A club official said: “Thanks must go to everyone who contributed to the smooth running of this event”.
