Fenland runner Aaron Petts kicked of the festive season by competing in the Thetford Winter Wonderland 5K Santa Run.
He came 20th out of 180 runners in the event that was raising money for charity.
Larissa Follen, chairman Fenland Running Club, said: “The run started and finished at The Guildhall in the historic market town.
“Fancy dress was encouraged with a medal for all of those who completed the course.
“The charity event was organised by the Thetford Town Council with any money raised being donated to local charities and community groups. “With a lovely atmosphere Aaron cheerfully completed the Santa Run in 26:39, 20th out of 180 runners and 4th in his age category.”
The club is affiliated to England Athletics and prides itself on a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging the “hare” and the “tortoise” alike.
They meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.30pm at Wisbech Rugby Club, Chapel Rd, Wisbech.
