A MAN facing two charges of rape and ten other sexual offences has been sent for trial before Cambridge Crown Court.
Shane Watkins, 33, who gave magistrates an address at the Ferry Project, Mill Close, Wisbech, is accused of raping a teenage girl in Wisbech between December 13 2006 and January 1 2008; and raping a teenage girl in Salisbury between June 17 2007 and June 18 last year.
Watkins also faces four charges of engaging in sexual activity with a girl between the age of 13 and 15; two charges of inciting a girl aged between 13 and 15 years to engage in sexual activity; two charges of sexual assault, and two charges of indecent assault.
Fenland magistrates yesterday gave Watkins unconditional bail, until he appears at crown court for a preliminary hearing on Monday.
