THE police helicopter helped track down a Wisbech man who was hiding in bushes after a burglary in a Cambridgeshire village.
Police were called to a burglary in progress in Over Road, Longstanton, at 9.05pm Friday and saw a man running across fields away from the premises.
The force helicopter was scrambled from police headquarters in Huntingdon and within four minutes was on the scene. It spotted the man hiding in bushes.
Officers on the ground were directed to the man and arrested him.
The 51-year-old man from Wisbech has been charged with theft and burglary.
