BOSSES at Del Monte in Wisbech have confirmed that "minor issues" were raised and dealt with following a visit by the Health and Safety Executive - but there were no major issues.
The visit last Thursday coincided with demonstrations outside the Weasenham Lane factory by Unite, which claimed there were health and safety failings inside.
Today James Harvey, managing director of Del Monte, said: "We can confirm that coincidentally last Thursday, the HSE were also on site to carry out a routine inspection which was completed with no major concerns being raised.
"The minor issues that were raised were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the local management team.
