FIRE crews were called to tackle an ammonia leak in Wisbech at the weekend. Two crews from Wisbech and one from St Neots, a rescue vehicle from Huntingdon and a hazardous materials unit from St Neots attended the incident in Moy Park, Mount Pleasant Road.

Two crews from Wisbech and one from St Neots, a rescue vehicle from Huntingdon and a hazardous materials unit from St Neots attended the incident in Moy Park, Mount Pleasant Road.
Everyone had been evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters at 11.20pm on Saturday. There were no injuries.
Firefighters arrived and entered the building wearing gas tight suits.
They discovered a leak in the plant room, affecting a spiral freezer containing ammonia.
The leak was made safe by the site engineer, with assistance from firefighters, by 2am.
