TWO wards at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn have been affected by the winter vomiting virus and closed.
Elm ward, a 27-bed gynaecology and female surgical ward, has been closed to new admissions, with eight patients affected by diarrhoea and vomiting.
Two six-bed bays on Marham ward, a 33-bed respiratory ward, have also been closed, with two patients showing symptoms.
All other wards and departments are functioning as normal.
Visiting to the hospital, including the affected wards, is still permitted although on arrival at the ward visitors should follow hygiene instructions given by staff.
Members of the public are asked not to visit the hospital if they have symptoms of sickness or diarrhoea, and not to visit until at least 48 hours after the symptoms have gone.
