A WOMAN threw a Christmas tree at her estranged husband after he assaulted her on Boxing Day during a family row
Alexander Chapman had put his hands around Lyndsey Chapman's throat making it difficult for her to breathe.
And after she threw the tree, Chapman put his wife into a bear hug and frog-marched her to the door.
Mrs Chapman suffered a graze to her wrist and red marks to her elbow and neck during the incident, Fenland magistrates were told.
Chapman had admitted throwing his wife on to a sofa, placing his hands around her neck and squeezing, and placing his knee on her chest to pin her down.
The 33-year-old, of Dagless Way, March, admitted a charge of assault. Fenland magistrates ordered a pre-sentence report and adjourned sentencing until February 16.
