THE mayor of Wisbech attended a celebration to mark the completion of a project at Wisbech General Cemetery.
Two information boards containing details about the history of the cemetery and the wildlife in the area were unveiled at Saturday's event.
Mayor of Wisbech, cllr Yvonne Lawrence was joined by councillors Roger Green, Mike Theobald and Janet Jolley as well as members of the Friends of Wisbech General Cemetery.
Cllr Green said: "This is a very attractive and tranquil area of Wisbech, and it is smack bang in the middle of the town, but very few people seem to know about it.
"Visitors will soon be able to see some lovely bluebells and daffodils in full bloom."
The project was lead by the Friends of Wisbech General Cemetery and funded by the Big Lottery.
