FLIGHTS into and out of the Royal Air Force Bases at Lakenheath and Mildenhall have been cancelled due to the ash from the volcanic eruption in Iceland moving into UK airspace.
An RAF spokesman said: "Officials at both bases are working with local UK authorities to assess and minimize risks to aircraft and personnel.
"It is not known at this time when flights will resume."
The decision comes after flights at all the country's airports were cancelled until 7am tomorrow (Friday) for the same reason.
