Wisbech fire and rescue teams found the furniture item well alight near the tennis courts at Leverington Sports and Social Club.
Arsonists had set fire to the object in Church Road at 3.16pm yesterday (Wednesday, July 21).
Crews returned to their station shortly before 4pm.
