A WISBECH man who failed to complete a single hour of unpaid work four months escaped a jail sentence this week.
Dainius Genulevicius was subject to a six week suspended jail sentence and could have been sent to prison for breaching the terms of his order.
But instead, on Tuesday Fenland magistrates added an extra 21 hours of work to his order.
Genulevicius, 34, of Blencowe Terrace, Wisbech, was given the suspended jail sentence back in March, for an offence of drinking driving; with a requirement to carry out 80 hours of work. This week he admitted missing sessions on June 27 and July 4.
Speaking through a Lithuanian interpreter, Genulevicius said he missed sessions because he had been looking for paid employment.
