A GROUP of people verbally abused a wheelchair-bound man in a Fenland village twice in 15 minutes.

A woman was walking with the young man in the wheelchair in Station Road, Terrington St Clement, on September 4 when they were approached by two males and two females between 5pm and 5.30pm.

The group blocked the path and were verbally abusive to the woman and the vulnerable man.

The woman managed to get past the group and returned to an address in Station Road where, 15 minutes later, she noticed the same group of people in a blue VW Golf.

The male driver again became verbally abusive before driving off towards the village. He is described as about 5ft 10in, of skinny build, aged late teens or early 20s and had a pale complexion.

He had straight dark hair with a fringe and was wearing a dark baseball cap, white T-shirt, dark jumper and jeans, and white trainers.

The second male was about the same age and described as having a toned build, about 6ft, and scruffy looking with straight blond hair. He was wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt with jeans.

One of the females is described as about 5ft 5in, chubby, with platinum blonde-dyed hair with dark roots in ringlets to past shoulder length.

She had a piercing on the right of her lip and a silver tongue stud. She was wearing dark jeans and brown boots with a white top and black body warmer.

The other female was also 5ft 5in, skinny with short dark brown straight hair.

A police spokesman said: “Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who recognises the description of the suspects.”
