STUDENTS were given a taste of Spanish theatre in Fenland when a production company came to a Wisbech school.
Language students from Thomas Clarkson Community College, King’s School, Ely, King Edward VII School, King’s Lynn, Downham Market High School joined others at Wisbech Grammar School for a performance of ‘Primera cita’.
The Onatti Theatre Company from Gloucestershire performed the 50-minute play, which translated is ‘First date’, to the audience of 160 teenagers after they tucked into tapas with the actors.
Jane Braybrook, head of Spanish at the grammar school, said: “It was very well received by all who watched it, because it was humorous and very visual and so, even if the language was not always understood, the exaggerated acting helped comprehension.”
