MORE than 35 bicycles were security marked when police teamed up with staff at Halfords in Wisbech for a day of coding.
Staff at Halfords, on the Belgrave Retail Park off Cromwell Road, also carried out free cycle safety checks for people who took their bicycles along to the store on Saturday.
PCSO Steven Staniforth said: “We thank Halfords for the support in this event and urge anyone with a pedal cycle to have it coded by police. This will assist police in returning the bike back to the owner if it is stolen.”
If anyone requires their bike to be coded contact PCSO Staniforth on 101 (ext 3799). Further cycle coding events will be held in the coming weeks.
