Pupils got a thrill when they saw their film on the big screen.
Children from Ramnoth and Elm Road schools spent a week at St. Peters Lodge being shown all the skills involved in film making by Peterborough film maker Jessica West.
Their film, Not the Last Supper, received its premiere at the Luxe Cinema on Thursday.
Angie Manning, of St Peter’s Lodge, said: “The children learnt how to use film cameras, make films and then act out their own version of The Passion, The Easter Story.
“This was part of an on-going project we run at St. Peters Lodge, called Faith Through Art. Once a month, a group of children from each of the schools spend a week at the lodge learning various art forms.
“The owner of the Luxe Cinema, Burghley, very generously took off a film so that we could premiere the film.
“He put the red carpet out for the children so they felt like film stars.
“There were enough family, friends and school staff present to almost fill the cinema.
“Needless to say the children had a wonderful week making the film and a fantastic evening that they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
