Rock of Ages, a hilarious 80s-themed comedy musical, will have you laughing and rocking when it comes to the Angles Theatre, Wisbech later this month.
“At the end of the big, bad 80s in Hollywood Stacee Jaxx takes the stage at the Bourbon Room with scantily clad groupies, hell bent on turning fantasies into reality,” said theatre director Emlyn Moment.
“Drew, a toilet cleaner at the club and an aspiring rock star, longs to be on the stage. He meets Sherri, just off the bus from Kansas, also with stars in her eyes and they fall in love.
“This rock ‘n’ roll fairy tale ends when a pair of German developers arrive on the scene with plans to turn the area into a shopping mall. Drew and Sherri and others fight back. Only the music from Bon Jovi, Styx, Whitesnake, Slade and more will provide you with the answers.”
RATz, the Angles Theatre’s award-winning amateur company, will bring the comedy musical, based on a book by Chris D’Arienzo, to life from Friday 14 to Saturday 22 October.
