Staff, pupils and families from Anthony Curton Primary School and Tilney All Saints Primary united in silence to remember and honour those who died in WWI.
Children from Anthony Curton commemorated Armistice Day by reading prayers, poems and laying wreaths at the memorial in the churchyard of Walpole St Peter Church.
The Last Post was played by staff member Bill White and the service was attended by new incumbent, Reverend Barbara Burton.
Youngsters at Tilney All Saints held their own service at Tilney All Saints Church, where KS1 teacher Sarah Douglass played the Last Post.
Executive head of both schools, Anne Senior, said: “It’s extremely important that our young children understand the impact that war has on the lives of everyone – not only the soldiers who see action. We are so proud at the genuine empathy our children displayed, and the respect they demonstrated at the services.”
