An industrial building in Wisbech had to be evacuated last night after a blaze on Weasenham Lane.
Two crews from Wisbech and two from March, as well as police officers, were called to the building fire at 6.49pm on Tuesday October 3.
One lane of the road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the blaze.
A Cambs Fire spokesman said: “The crews arrived to find a fire in an industrial building measuring 45 x 100m.
“The building was safely evacuated before crews arrived. The building was heavily smoke logged.
“Using breathing apparatus, two jets and one hose reel, firefighters extinguished the fire.
“The crews returned to their stations by 9.30pm.
“The cause of the fire was accidental.”
A police spokesman said: “At 7.14pm officers supported Cambs Fire and Rescue Service on Weasenham Lane in Wisbech whilst they dealt with an incident.
“This was a fire service lead incident with officers assisting with traffic control.
“The officers left the scene at about 9pm.”
