A Thorney farmer’s pink bales are brightening people’s journeys on the A47 all for a good cause.
Along with his family, Charles Horrell, who is a member of the East of England Agricultural Society member, used the pink wrap to cover bales of silage whilst support the charity Breast Cancer Now.
He said: “The bales would normally either be black or green so we thought why not brighten things up a bit and also raise awareness of this important charity, whilst carrying out our everyday farming jobs.
“It has caused some discussion in our quiet village of Thorney and hopefully brightened people’s journeys.”
The pink wrap was launched in 2015 and has been spotted on farms across the UK helping raise awareness of breast cancer and a donation from each roll goes to a number of cancer charities.
To date the pink bales have raised over £50,000 for Breast Cancer Now.
