Wisbech General Cemetery threw open its doors and acres of land to the public on Heritage Open Day.
Visitors were given the opportunity to explore the historical site in North End on Saturday, September 15.
The building boasts a wealth of history with it being one of the first Victorian burial grounds in the country.
A soldier from the Second World War and 10 from the First World War who died in England as a result of injuries sustained in service are also buried in the cemetery. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission have recently installed new headstones on nine of the graves that were previously unmarked.
Visitors were also able to see the £303,800 chapel restoration works in progress which is now nearing completion.
Lorena Hodgson, of the Wisbech General Cemetary, said around 100 people visited the site, adding: “Everybody was positive about it, it was really lovely.”
