DETECTIVES launched an appeal for witnesses this week after a woman was assaulted in Wisbech.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, November 14, a woman walking alone along DeHaviland Road, near the Bowling Green pub, was approached by another woman who hit her repeatedly, fracturing the victim's wrist.
It is believed that earlier in the evening they had been drinking separately in the pub.
Det Con Emily Clarke is appealing for any witnesses to this offence to come forward.
The attacker is described as being in her late 40s, with a large build, about 5ft 3in tall, with short, dark brown hair. She wore a grey woollen knitted jumper and jeans or jogging bottoms.
