DETECTIVES leading the hunt for the killers of a Lithuanian man who died after being set alight in the van he was sleeping in, have renewed an appeal for two vital witnesses.

The body of father of three, Dainus Kigas, 35, was discovered in his van in Wisbech on Saturday June 3.

Since then police have been carrying out extensive inquiries in Wisbech, Fenland and West Norfolk, to establish Mr Kigas' final movements.

Det Chief Insp Jim Bambridge has appealed for information from the two witnesses Alina Mecislavskiene and Vytautas Zutautas. Both are believed to have travelled from Lithuania with Mr Kigas, who operated a legal courier business.

Mr Bambridge said: "These two people are not suspects in any way. But in seeing Mr Kigas in the days before he died, they may have information that could be helpful to our investigation.

"We will provide an interpreter for anyone who wishes to speak to us or tell us something they think may help our investigation. A dedicated phoneline is also available." He added: "I would like to appeal directly to Ms Mecislavskiene and Mr Zutautas or to anyone who may know them to please come forward and speak to us. We want justice for Dainus Kigas and his family."

The woman is believed to now be in the Spalding area. The man was dropped off in the London area.
