A POLICE dog discovered Daniel Murphy hiding near a car he had tried to break into in Wisbech when he needed a ride home.
Murphy, 25, had bent the handle of a Vauxhall Nova, and smashed a window and ripped the cowling off a Vauxhall Frontera in Turnpike Court, magistrates were told.
Murphy, currently serving a jail sentence and due for release next March, was given a two-month concurrent sentence after admitting two charges of vehicle interference and obstructing police by giving a false name.
