MALCOLM Moss MP joined staff and pupils of a Fenland village school for the launch of a countywide creative project.
The North-East Cambridgeshire MP visited Wisbech St Mary Primary School to find out more about the Vital Communities project in the village and how he can help further progress the creative workshops.
Vital Communities is an action research project held across Cambridgeshire which, through creative activities such as drama, dance music and visual art aims to demonstrate the impact of art upon community development.
It also investigates whether art has a positive effect on the aspirations, achievements and attitudes of communities.
The programme will see 10 workshops in Vital Communities' 10 locations based around the theme of Spring Into Spring: It's All About Growth! It is funded by the National Lottery's Awards For All scheme
A workshop was also held at the Payne Primary School, Parson Drove, on Thursday last week.
