A MAN who was killed in a road traffic collision near Wisbech St Mary on Thursday afternoon has been named.
Derek Simmonds, 78, of Main Road, Parson Drove, was the driver of a Ford Granada which was involved in a collision with a blue lorry on the B1166, close to its junction with Seadyke Bank, at 3.50pm.
He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with his injuries, but later died.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward. PC Francis Crawford, investigating, said: "I am trying to find out exactly what how this collision happened and would like anyone with information to get in touch."
