ONE of the largest ever cannabis factories in the Fenland area was uncovered by police, when they raided a large detached house in Guyhirn this morning.
Police executed a warrant at the house in Gull Road this morning, where they found what was described by a police spokeswoman as "hundreds of cannabis plants".
A 32-year-old man who was inside the house at the time of the raid was arrested and has been taken to Huntingdon police station for questioning.
The spokeswoman said: "it is believed to be one of the largest cannabis factories found in the Fenland area."
Today's operation was led by Det Sgt Sean Spencer, of the divisional crime and drugs unit. Police pounced at the address using unmarked patrol vehicles.
