PARENTS, friends and supporters turned up at a Fenland day centre to support young people with learning disabilities put on a variety show.
The afternoon of entertainment at FACET (Fenland Area Community Enterprise Trust), offered members a chance to take part in a mixed programme.
The group put on their renditions from such productions as Grease to Dad's Army and wowed the audience with their panache and ability.
Councillor Jan French, chairman of the FACET trustees, said it was an "absolutely wonderful" occasion.
"The students did incredibly well, and impressed everyone who watched them," she said after Friday's show at the Marwick Road centre.
"They spent three months in rehearsals and were all truly committed to it."
It capped a week of fund raising for the centre which raised £445 from a barbecue and the show, and the centre also received a £1,000 gift from a developer and a further £100 from an architect. Some of the proceeds will be spent on a sensory room for the students.
