THROUGH your pages, I would like to say thank you to everyone who took part in the Wisbech Christmas Lights Switch On.

Special thanks go toVenni who are always willing to loan the use of their trailers.

This year thanks also go to the 99p Stores, but especially QD for the donation of tinsel for the tree.

For musical entertainment the WAODS Christmas sing-along and the Lexie Green Rock and Blues set was much appreciated.

We were again treated to a visit by Vivien the fire engine, and we mustn't forget Santa who took time out of his busy schedule to attend, assisted by the Lions.

As ever, Councillor David Oliver, assisted by his daughter Jessica and friends took the time to spend all-day from 7am, organising the Market Place so that the event took place safely.

We should remember that all these people are volunteers and should be appreciated for all they do for the town of Wisbech.

I would like to send thanks to all those who gave freely of their time and resources in order that Wisbech had a successful Christmas Lights Switch On.
