DEAR fans of Wisbech Town Football Club and people of Wisbech.
I was pleased to read in last week's edition of the Wisbech Standard of the honour Wisbech Town FC are to bestow on that great clubman Denis Harris.
Denis would be one of my best friends I have NEVER met.
Denis was a great communicator, and loved the internet. I relied on his reports on our forum over the years
During the long nights before his death, it would be nothing for an email to pop up to me in Australia at some ungodly hour in the morning and, via this method we became great e-mates.
We had several things in common, but mainly our football club.

He did much for us over the years and that he is to be remembered each year is a great thing.
I miss Denis, and as we go into another season, will miss him more as there seems to be a shortage of volunteers to take up where Denis left off, reporting on our forum on the games.
As we say out here "good onya Denis", may your memory live on forever.
