LOVE was in the air at the Horsefair Shopping Centre in Wisbech on Valentine’s Day as shoppers put their hands in their pockets for a good cause.
Janet Kenworthy, from the British Heart Foundation, joined Kevin Smith, the centre manager, to hand out chocolate treats to shoppers and raise around 40 for the charity’s Mending Broken Hearts campaign.
Hidden within the wrappers of some of the treats were little hearts and those who were lucky enough to find one could choose from 14 Valentine’s Day prizes, donated by various Horsefair tenants.
The first winner on the day was Julie Watson from Upwell, who collected her prize from Ann Geddis, of Angels Oasis.
